    Canada

    The Study in Canada Scholarships are designed to increase opportunities for Canadian post-secondary institutions to host international students from many countries and territories on short-term exchanges to pursue studies or conduct research. Selected Canadian post-secondary institutions will have the opportunity to strengthen and diversify their international ties. The new relationships developed through the program will serve to inform and enrich Canada’s education engagements with a wide range of partners, strengthen bilateral relationships and support the Government of Canada’s international trade diversification initiatives. The Study in Canada Scholarships are a short-term exchange program under Global Affairs Canada’s International Scholarships Program.

    Japan

    Every year, the Japanese government awards full scholarships to international students who wish to pursue their undergraduate or master's degree at Japanese universities, through the Japanese Government Scholarship Program (MEXT). What is the scholarship? The Japanese government (Monbukagakusho) offers several full scholarships, including:
    • Undergraduate/bachelor's scholarship;
    • Master's or doctoral scholarships;
    • Professional and specialization courses.

    Île-Maurice

    The Government of Mauritius has invited applications for its scholarships for the academic year 2024/2025. This programme is open to citizens of African Union Member States or African Commonwealth countries. The Mauritius scholarships will fund studies at the Bachelor’s (3 years), Master’s (4 years), Master’s by Research (2 years), Master’s-Doctorate (4 years and 6 months) and Doctoral (3 years) levels. The Mauritian public higher education sector currently has six main public higher education institutions and three others operating in specialised fields. The highest ranked university is the University of Mauritius, ranked in the 1201-1500 bracket. The common language in Mauritius is Mauritian Creole. However, most Mauritians speak French, while English is used in government and education.

    U.S.A

    The majority of scholarships are offered by the universities themselves as such, you will need to check the information on each university’s website to check what scholarships are offered and the requirements for obtaining that scholarship. Keep in mind that most scholarships are partial (in other words, they cover a certain percentage of the tuition fees). Additionally, there are many more university scholarships offered at the Bachelor’s level than at the Master’s level. Keep in mind that many of Seed’s partner universities in the United States have been chosen in part because of their attractive scholarship options. However, in addition to the universities’ own scholarships, there are also institutional and government scholarships. The list below shows some of these scholarships for African students to study in the United States.
